I am sitting here in the "Industry Canada" room watching an iChat conversation with Pete Quily, who is an ADD coach in Vancouver. I have used iChat many times, with friends around the world. But this is the first time that I have seen iChat used at a confernence and it works great! For future BarCamps, I think it would be a great idea to do more of this. Imagine having speakers from around the world or sharing your BarCamp with other cities holding them at the same time.

Presentation by Wayne Chu, the new media director at the Saskatchewan Liberal Party
New media campaigns are no longer "new media campaigns." The Liberal party has developed a unified communications strategy, so brochures, billboards and TV all come together with the web, YouTube, Facebook, etc. By bringing new media people into the "upper echelons" of the party, new technologies can better communicate the messages. Many campaigns in the past have not worked like this.
